Biography
Holly works in the corporate world by day and the craft world by night. Often working on projects through the night, Holly has defined her two worlds as very discreet slices of her life. Born and raised in the northeast, she moved out west (Arizona) for college and graduate school, married, then moved back east. Currently residing with her husband in CT, she has 2 adult children, one living in NYC and one in Alaska. She first entered the world of beading out of a need to make some personalized gifts and as requests for products increased, she has turned her craft into marketable products. She continues to travel the world, buying beads from all over. Combining textures and colors are part of her favorite things.
Holly gets her inspirations from the natural world and the products she chooses from the more practical part of her life. The work that she does aims to make our everyday surprising and pleasing to the senses. She likes the idea of building gifts starting with the products that she makes and personalizing them to suit the gift giver and the gift receiver. Holly has started to make her own beads experimenting with glass and plastic recycled beads but not enough to sustain her projects. She has started to build her own products with Lucite as well. Holly’s dreams include retirement from the corporate world and traveling to craft fairs around the country.
