Biography
Born N.Y. 1945, still alive. Moved to Connecticut 1967 I reside in Madison & Hamden.
1967-1975 N.H.P.D.
1971; Became interested in capturing sunlight and all aspects of photography and after being introduced to daguerreotypes, that’s the first time sunlight was captured to create an image 1839.
1975-present…..Collecting, curating, buying & selling, appraising rare 19th century photographs.
1995—present…. Captured and sculpted sun rays on film and still experimenting.
As you look at my Sculptured Sunrays understand that there are no objects being photographed. There is nothing there but sunlight. You are seeing reflected shapes, forms, and shadows, each from a beam of sunlight traveling 93,000,000 miles. As I create I use the natural spectrum, blending and forming it into abstract art. I only create on the clearest days with crystal clear skies, primarily using prisms and mirrors—a science called catoptrics.
