Biography

Larry Reitz is an award winning photographer who resides in Southeastern Connecticut. Largely self-taught, he has attended workshops given by well-known nature and outdoor photographers George Lepp, Dewitt Jones, and Arthur Morris. While images are offered from various parts of the US, the majority of Larry’s work reflects the New England landscape, where he has lived for over 35 years. Larry does all of his own printing on canvas which is stretched and framed.

Retiring after a long career as a chemist, Larry has devoted most of his time to photography and for about 10 years has been an active participant in outdoor art festivals throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island. Major juried venues in which Larry participates include: the Mystic Outdoor Art Festival, Virtu (Westerly, RI), the prestigious Wickford Art Festival, the Niantic Outdoor Art Show, as well as juried festivals in West Hartford, Narragansett, Old Saybrook and Stamford.
