Monica Hewryk, Ceramicist at Madison Green Festival

Biography

Monica Hewryk graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a Bachelor in Art and a focus in ceramics. She has been developing her skills as a potter for four years. Monica’s work is inspired by the search of movement within her forms. Her exploration continues to grow through intricate cuts and structural planning. Monica enjoys manipulating wheel thrown vessels with a chaotic twist. Her ideas are derived from her high energy level and personal experience of a busy lifestyle. Monica has sold her work throughout CT including at Spectrum Gallery and Artisans’ Store and has progressed to showing out of state.
